5 reasons for having a vintage coffee van for the church ceremony Wedding Day
A vintage coffee van has become a widely popular addition to weddings lately, and for all the right reasons. Here’s our top 5 of why you should consider one for your wedding
A moment of break in a very busy day. Wedding days are normally hectic, even if you are taking part as a simple guest. Especially if the wedding ceremony is early in the day, mornings can be quite busy, filled with hair and make-up appointments, trying to get everyone ready on time and in some cases making sure you safely arrive at the destination. The church ceremony, although beautiful and touching, often does not allow for much relaxation, as they take part in a very solemn environment. Once the church ceremony is done, there is a first moment when everybody can shortly catch their break before being rushed to the wedding reception. And in that moment, a nice coffee and a treat can make all the difference – for the new couple, for the guests, and even for your wedding suppliers (Your photographer might be forever grateful for the caffeine kick!)
Keeps your guests going until reception. If the church is in a remote location, or if there’s a considerable distance between the church and the reception venue (where the Prosecco and the food awaits), a coffee van can be a life saver. Probably people have had very little food until then, so the treats that are usually served with coffee keep them going until they reach the reception. In some cases, your coffee van might provide some sandwiches and finger food as well, so your coffee break can become a mini buffet al fresco. Most coffee vans can also provide a mini bar service for an extra charge– something you can also consider if you have a bus hired for your guests. Tip: If this sounds like your scenario, make sure that you get a proper estimate of the number of guests that will be present at the church.
Buys you time for photos and congratulations Right after the church reception, your photographer might want to take certain shots in the church yard and your guests might want to congratulate and take photos with the newlyweds. Sometimes it’s hard to do all these without feeling guilty that you are ignoring a part of your guests, or you might get anxious to rush through the congratulations so that your other guests don’t get bored. Having a coffee van provides a buffer to do all these things in a more peaceful manner. Your guests will get excited about the coffee van, enjoy the drinks and start socialising with each other. This will take the pressure off from the bride and groom (at least for a short while), so they will have time to take photos, chat away and just enjoy the very first moments as newlyweds.
The Wow factors and Instagram-able photos. The truth is that almost everybody wants to have a wedding that will make an impression and truly (almost) everybody is a sucker for nice wedding photos. Having a vintage van that is most certainly older than half your guests (and that can also make coffee) will most likely upgrade your after church wedding game into the wow category. Your guests will love it and your photos and videos of them smiling happily with a cuppa in hand will become great memories (and great Instagram stories too!). A vintage van is also a classy spot for a wedding portrait for the bride and groom – something that goes on the wall or in the family album!
The perfect cuppa. (we will keep this short and sweet) Ireland has the perfect weather for drinking coffee and tea all year round. Most of your days start with a cuppa, so why shouldn’t your life together start with one?
